Meet our Activator…Marianne Flakk!

We’ve asked one of our Manchester campus activators a few questions about why you should get into sports at MMU and also about her role as an sports activator!

Name: Marianne Flakk Marianne

Age: 24

Course: BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy

Sport: Badminton

What made you become an activator?

It is a really great programme for students to attend and it’s a great way to get more people involved with sports as well as meet new people and have fun.

What do you love about Sport?

It’s a great way to meet new people and really have fun. Being an international student getting involved with sports was something that helped me settle down quicker when I first moved over.  I also love the competiveness that sports can bring out in you.

Why should people get involved with sport at MMU?

You get to meet new people and is a great way to keep fit. Also because you don’t have to commit every week to the Active Campus programmes you work it around your schedules. On top of that because the entire programme is free it is one of the best deals a student can have!

What is your greatest sporting memory?

Winning the regional football tournament for my hometown.

You can meet Marianne by heading down to our FREE badminton Active Campus sessions every Monday and Wednesday! To find out how you can get involved click here!
