We’ve asked one of our Manchester campus activators a few questions about why you should get into sports at MMU and also about her role as an sports activator!
Name: Fran Duffy
Course: LLB (Hons)Law
What made you become an activator?
I’ve been coaching many different levels of netball throughout the past few years and it is something that I love to do. I really wanted to continue this and give something back to the University.
What do you love about Sport?
It has to be the team ethos that you immerse yourself in when playing and knowing that are playing amongst lifelong friends!
Why should people get involved with sport at MMU?
It’s a great way to make friends in a community where others share the same passion for a sport. There is also an amazing social side to sport at university and it’s something that I’ve never experienced before.
What is your greatest sporting memory?
One of my greatest sporting memories has to be playing for Loughborough Lightening academy. Another achievement of mine is representing Derbyshire at the English Schools Cross Country competition.
You can meet Fran by heading down to our FREE netball Active Campus sessions every Tuesday and Thursday! Or by taking part in our Active Campus swimming sessions on Thursdays! For more information click here!
