BUCS Duathlon Championships 2015

Read our sport scholar Alice Sharpe’s race report from this weekend’s BUCS Duathlon Championships, which saw her earn bronze with a time of 49.33.2!

Myself & Manchester Metropolitan Cycling headed down to Castle Combe for the BUCS Duathlon Championships.We gathered in the Sainsbury car park at 7.45am… a rude awakening for a Sunday morning; before setting off on the three and a half hour drive. -Thank you Rob R, Rob C and James for driving!

If you have ever seen me race or read my blog before you’ll know I always moan about running. So with double the running and minus a swim … duathlon isn’t really my thing. But I’d peer pressure six other students from MMU into the duathlon so thought I better race too!

Having Finished 10th at last year’s BUCS Duathlon championships, my aim for 2015’s race was a top 7 finish.
