In yesterday’s Match of the Day, our Women’s Football 3rd team got off to a great start to their 2016 fixtures with an impressive 8-0 victory over Chester Warrington. Our team started the game feeling confident and put the pressure on the opposition early in the game, scoring two quick goals.

As the first half went on, our team grew even stronger and through some impressive team play, were able to increase their lead to a very comfortable 6-0.

Chester Warrington were able to prevent our team scoring again, but with ten minutes to go, we were able to break through the defence to score another two goals, and start 2016 with an 8-0 victory.

This result leaves our team level on points at the top of the league alongside Huddersfield and UCLAN, but with five games still to play, the team will be aiming to make every game count to give them the best chance of gaining promotion.

A few more of our teams will be competing next week, so make sure you download the fixtures for Manchester and Cheshire:
