In this week’s Spotlight On… we’re getting to know our Equestrian club a little bit better!
Boasting a fantastic 55 members, our equestrian club are split in to a non-competition and a competition team, with the latter competing in BUCS. The club train regularly on Wednesdays, and compete in a variety of competitions.
We spoke to club chair, Sian Davies, about the club!
What’s the best part about being in your sports club?
“The camaraderie; we cheer each other on and help each other improve and achieve our goals each week.”
How did your club do last year?
“We did really well, our team got promoted and we formed a great committee for this year due to last year’s committee’s organisation.”
What were the highs and lows from last season?
“The high was getting promoted; lows were clubs restriction on learning to jump.”
What are your hopes for the rest of 2015/16?
“We’d like to improve in all areas, have more socials to strengthen club camaraderie and improve our equestrian skills.”
What on and off the pitch activities do you have coming up for your club?
“Coming up we’ve got an Easter egg hunt and our annual holiday!”
