In this week’s Spotlight On…we’re getting to know our Dance club a little bit better!
We spoke to the club’s chairperson, Amy Williamson, to find out a little bit more about the club.
What’s the best part about being in your sports club?
“Getting to know people who all love dance but are from lots of different courses within the university!”
How did your club do last year on and off the pitch?
“We competed in competitions at University of Manchester, Nottingham Trent and University of Liverpool and we placed in every competition we entered last year, as well as growing as a club within the AU.”
What were the highs and lows from last season?
“The highs were placing at every competition we entered as well as increasing the awareness of the club within the AU! Our low was having less members in the club than the year before.”
What are your hopes for 2015/16?
“We want to enter more competitions and place at least 2nd in all of them! As well as to become a more integrated part of the AU. We’re also hoping to put on an event for members who don’t compete.”
What on and off the pitch activities do you have coming up for your club?
“Competitions starting from the 27th February and we have a few ideas in mind other than competitions.”
