Our six-week taster Strength and Conditioning course is a great way to kickstart a healthier, happier you – and having a routine, attending classes with friends provides great motivation. Whether you’re getting in shape for the summer or looking to get fitter, faster or stronger, toned or honed, our Strength and Conditioning course is tailored to you.
Our fully qualified coach Joe Collins will shape your training programme to reflect your current level of fitness and ability and what you want to achieve.
The sessions are split into two 45 minute sections, both of which take place in the gym. The first concentrates on strength, providing an introduction to core movements to strengthen your core which helps even every day tasks by improving your posture as well as targeting sport-specific movements like tackling. The second section is aerobic and can involve running, cycling and rowing – depending on what Joe recommends will help you work towards your goals. The programme gives you the skills and knowledge to feel comfortable using what you have learnt beyond the sessions.
Come along if you’re a beginner, if you’re a sportsman wanting to sharpen up or if you’re looking to prevent injury in a no-pressure environment.
All equipment is provided, all you need to do is wear comfortable sportswear and make your way down to the Platt Lane Sport Complex in Fallowfield. The sessions take place every Monday 5:30-7:00pm between Monday 18th April and Monday 23rd May.
The course, made up of six sessions lasting an hour and a half, costs £24 and can be bought at the online shop
