Exams are here again (sigh) and we know it can be a pretty stressful period. If you’ve got first year jitters or a dissertation dilemma, stepping away from work and relaxing with new activities can really take your mind off things. With all sorts on offer from cuddling guide dogs to getting active, MMU Sport can help you unwind.
Our Active Lifestyle classes are FREE for MMU students – yes free! – so grab your friends and come along.
MMU Sport has teamed up with the Guide Dog Association so that you can literally cuddle your stress away. The dogs will be in the Union on Wednesday 27 April. A big thank you to everyone who has filled this event and donated to the Guide Dogs in doing so.
If you’re looking for quiet or clarity, colouring can be very therapeutic and whether you struggle with stick men or you’re a potential Picasso, anyone can put pencil to paper and colour themselves calm at our Wednesday lunchtime session.
Like the sound of that? You can also sign up to our free lunchtime creative calm workshops, using creativity to improve your mood and lower stress.
Fancy something a bit different? Trade in your textbooks for taking it easy with our range of classes including express yoga and meditation.
And if you fancy stretching your legs as well as your mind, breaking a sweat can be great to release any tension or stress so take advantage of our free boxercise classes – or grab the girls and get down to our women-only swimming sessions.
Our free jogging club is suitable for seasoned runners, and beginners are always welcome, with distances starting at 2km, everyone is encouraged to go at their own pace.
Sweating just thinking about exercise? You can do as little or as much as you fancy.
