The women’s rugby team have enjoyed a successful season so far, but who are the ladies that make up the team? Meet Charley Wynyard-Wright:
Q – When did you start playing rugby and why?
A – I started playing rugby 5 months ago, so I could get a little bit fitter and to get myself out of the house instead of just studying my life away.
Q – Have you played any other sport other than rugby?
A – I play hockey and netball and used to horse ride when I was younger.
Q – What advice would you give to someone who has never played before?
A – Go all in. Embrace the sport and tryst your team.
Q – Do you have a favourite quote?
A – ‘Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s learning to dance in the rain’.
Q – What’s your favourite food?
A – I have an incredibly sweet tooth so chocolate, chocolate and chocolate!
Q – What is the best thing about being a part of MMU Women’s Rugby?
A – The girls! Everyone is so supportive and always willing to lend a bit of advice so I can improve my game.
Keep following our blog to meet more of the team.
